Cookie Policy
How we collect, use and store your information.
MayHawk is committed to your privacy.
For details on how we collect, use, and protect customer information, please see our Privacy Policy.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are small files of information that our web server generates and sends to your web browser for several important purposes. For example, cookies enable you to use our e-commerce ‘shopping bag’ and to personalise your experience on our sites. They give us aggregated ‘trending data’ and insights into user behaviour so we can improve our website, services, advertising, communications and products.
You can choose to block or manage cookies through your browser settings at any time, but certain features, such as the shopping bag, may not work without them.
We use the following categories of cookies on our websites and other online services and emails:
Category 1 – Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential to enable you to browse around our websites and use their features. Without these cookies, e-commerce services like shopping bags and e-billing cannot be provided.
Category 2 – Performance Cookies / Preferences Cookies
These cookies collect information about how people use our websites — for example, which pages are visited most often. This data may be used to help optimise our websites and make them easier for people to navigate. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies you. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous.
Category 3 – Functionality Cookies / Statistics Cookies
These cookies allow our websites to remember choices you make while browsing. For instance, we may store your geographic location in a cookie to ensure that we show you our website localised for your area. They may also be used to keep track of what featured products or videos have been viewed to avoid repetition. The information these cookies collect will not personally identify you, and they cannot track your browsing activity on non-MayHawk websites. They are there to help meet your preferences and serve greater functionality to your needs on our websites.
Category 4 – Targeting Cookies / Marketing Cookies
To reach the right audiences we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Custom Audience) to collect user behaviour data for advertising purposes, such as retargeting, conversion tracking, and building custom audiences on Facebook and Instagram. It’s a way for our website and Meta’s ad platform to talk to each other. When you come to our website there its a consent banner which gives you the option of declining this cookie (accept / reject).
You are not required to accept cookies from our server. You can refuse them in your browser settings, but please note that some features (such as the shopping bag) may not function without them. If you want to disable cookies in your web browser, please check with your provider for instructions. In most browsers you can go to Preferences → Privacy to block or manage cookies.
Adjusting Cookie Settings
For guidance on adjusting cookie settings in popular browsers, see:
Cookies may remain on your device for different periods of time. Some are session cookies, which are deleted once you close your browser, while others are persistent cookies that remain until they expire or are deleted.
What cookie data we collect
- User Experience Data. These cookies help us understand aggregated user behaviour, support security and fraud prevention, show us which parts of our websites are most visited, and measure the effectiveness of our emails, newsletters, and web searches.
- Usage Data. We collect data about your activity on and use of our website and services, including product interaction, shopping-bag interaction, and other usage data. This gives us insights into user behaviour so we can improve our site functionality and products.
Protection of data collected by MayHawk
At MayHawk, we believe in carefully analysing the risks to the data we hold. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect all data we collect, taking into account the nature of the data, the processing, and the threats posed. We are constantly working to improve on these safeguards to help keep all data we collect secure.
