60% dark-milk chocolate. Californian almonds. Fleur de sel from Guérande, France. The Darksome Milk chocolate base was chosen deliberately. Its natural caramel body, with a nutty base note, and reduced sugar are what make the salt and the roasted almonds land correctly.

Take a closer look

The Guérande salt arrives first. Noticeable, clean, immediate. This is hand-harvested from salt marshes with a 2000-year tradition, and it tastes like it. Bright, but not as sharp as other sea-salt, it really does have the depth of the sea to it. Each roasted almond carries an even sea-salt crust. Which is the result of a multi-stage process, to leave nothing excessive or unbalanced.

What arrives in the bar is the salt, then the crunch of the roasted almond, and finally the Darksome Milk chocolate, closing over everything. Creamy, dark, unhurried. A calibrated alignment of textures and tone. Of chocolate softness, and the brittle salted almonds.
